About
Community Care Support (CCS)
The
management team behind CCS are professionals in their own right
registered in nursing and social work. They have vast experience
working in various social care departments and for the NHS.
CCS provides services to adults,families
and young people. We mainly work in the Stoke on Trent area but
often work in other areas of Staffordshire and West Midlands.
CCS was established to provide an effective and efficient health
and social care service to the community. Over the years, we have
been shocked by hearing about some negative experiences and the
state of affairs in social care services.

- How
many times have you waited for weeks without care because
care providers have no capacity?
- How
many times have you had many different workers?
- How many times have care works been late and had not
bothered to call you to inform they were running late?
- How many times have you heard
care providers saying they cannot provide care unless
the call was a minimum of four hours?
- How
many times have you heard a provider saying the best they
can do for a night call is 6pm?
- The list is endless

At CCS we offer an independent service, tailored, person
centred, anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory. We are guided
by our values for confidentiality , privacy and by our theme of
providing ‘care as it should be’.
CCS aims to ensure people who use our services are assisted to
make their own decisions and feel that they are treated with respect
and dignity. We will always value people using our services and
endeavour to work safely while providing quality care.We aim to
provide relaxed,non-intrusive services at convenient times agreed
by you.
We believe our services can make a difference! We always work
in partnership with service users and other stakeholders. We value
feedback from our service users and conduct various audits to
ensure quality care. The audits are designed to highlight areas
we are doing well and those needing improvement. We aim to employ
and adopt recommended changes as soon as possible.
CCS aims to meet all employment legislation and be a responsible
employer and care provider. Our organisation has embedded health
and safety procedures through out our service delivery.
CCS believes to provide a quality service; we have to invest in
our workforce. We start with a comprehensive recruitment process,
which includes an interview and following up on references. We
also verify professional competency, reliability, timekeeping
and many other qualities that make a good worker.
All workers will have an enhanced CRB check and training opportunities.
Our workers are trained to deliver a high quality service. They
will all hold a minimum or be working towards obtaining the National
Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Care level 2. There will be
statutory training in manual handling, risk assessments, health
and safety, confidentiality and vulnerable adults awareness.
A comprehensive induction will be provided to all new employees,
which includes familiarising themselves with policies, procedures
and shadowing other experienced workers. There will be regular
supervision, team meetings and a personal development review for
every worker annually. All workers will be expected to develop
the knowledge, skills and professional behaviour necessary for
good safe working practice.
